Description:

The Center for Child protection, formerly known as the Children's Advocacy Center is a child-friendly, home-like facility in Travis County where children who are victims of sexual abuse, serious physical injury and/or witnesses to violent crime, are scheduled by law enforcement or the Department of Family & Protective Services to begin the investigation process. This specially equipped home in Central Austin is where these children and their protective parents or caregivers go for evidence gathering, crisis intervention and counseling.
