About Hands On Central Texas Back To Main

Hands On Central Texas, a program of United Way Capital Area strenghthens communities though meaningful volunteer action. We provide over 400 volunteer opportunities & projects, Days of Service and Volunteer Leadership opportunities.

We envision a world where all individuals discover their power to make a difference and are equipped as active, engaged citizens.

We offer meaningful volunteer experiences, films discussions, volunteer opportunities & projects, issue education & service-learning opportunities. Our programs include Volunteer Project Leader Certification Training, Public Innovators Lab, Community Studio Learning Lab, Hands On Innovation Workshops, Culture Connections, Day of Caring, MLK Day of Service, LIVE UNITED Film Series, MLK Peace Bench Project & Hands On Technology Volunteer Matching System.

Hands On Central Texas is a program of United Way Capital Area and a member of the Hands On Network, whose mission is inspire, equip, and mobilize people to take action that changes the world. The Hands On Network, generated by Points of Light Institute is made up of 370 affiliates, called HandsOn Action Centers that serve 83% of the American population and located 12 international communities.
