United Way Capital Area is a proud partner with Foundation Communities in staffing the numerous Community Tax Centers around Central Texas with excellent volunteer tax preparers. "Financial Stability" is one of United Way Capital Area's main Focus Areas-which aims to help Central Texas families make and save more money to become self-sufficient and deal with the rising cost of living. To this end, United Way funds programs like Foundation Community's Community Tax Centers, along with numerous other projects and collaborations much like it.

Last year, we engaged 470 volunteers helping with 17,284 tax returns with $21 million tax refund! This year, we are looking for 500 volunteers to prepare 20,000 returns!

There are 10 conveniently located tax centers throughout Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville and Del Valle.
